Clear communication and understanding of SEO datasets are crucial for all parties involved in an organization. Utilizing a reliable SEO platform as a single source of truth simplifies the interpretation and utilization of SEO performance data. Research Grid allows you to see overall ranking performance for whichever domain you would like to conduct research on, whether it's your own domain or that of your competitors. It prioritizes the experience of the organic visitors by offering useful information that matches the intent of the searchers' queries. But not all content is created equally — that is, not all content is good content. In order to rank well on the Google search engine results pages (SERPs) and earn your company search visibility, your content needs to be relevant and authoritative.

Especially if the unindexed pages are of great importance to the success of your overall website.

Having quality content that satisfies the user's intent directly impacts user engagement, search engine rankings, and authority within your niche.

If you’ve done this for your keyword portfolio, build those options in the platform so you can leverage that work throughout the platform.

Similarly, if your organic traffic is growing but conversions are stagnant, it might be time to reassess your keyword rankings strategy.

Reason #6. Rankings Present You with a Data You Can Report On

This exercise gives us the competitive benchmark from both our direct and indirect SEO competitors. It helps us understand the types of content formats that are ranking well for my target keywords and exposes new content distribution channels to reach my customer. Your CRM and/or marketing automation platform should be able to provide these conversion rates across lifecycle stages and channels (organic vs. paid vs. referral). Your work is typically tied to specific goals – increasing conversion rate, generating more leads and converting visitors to customers. And here lies the key problem with reporting SEO – to showcase the impact of continuously boosting search visibility, you need to convert your data into actionable, quantitative insights. One common mistake is focusing on vanity metrics that look impressive but don't drive meaningful action.

Usually, within our pool of clients, this is conversions and/or cost per conversion. Ultimately, the key is to test different strategies and adapt based on performance, regardless of the budget size. Put simply, Google Ads metrics are signals of a campaign's health. When a user interacts with an ad–be it an ad click or an ad impression–Google Ads metrics capture these instances.
Knowing the user intent behind the keywords allows SEOs to map them to the right format of content. For instance, if the term had solely transactional intent, or information and transactional intent, that content may fit best on a category page. Enter any domain — yours or a competitor’s — to see current rankings next to the related keywords. For each of these rudimentary methods, you analyze the intent based on the SERPs alone without considering the content in those search results.
Note that during this entire process, we weren’t required to add or track these keywords. Besides the increase in demand, we also see the number of related keywords (more than half a million!), total search volume of those keywords, and the user intent. For example, let’s assume you’ve created a transactional page for a keyword with informational intent. SEO analysis won’t rank at the top of the SERPs and the content definitely won't provide value for the user. If you aren’t sure what you can achieve with SEO, check your past results. You may aim to increase it to 5% in three months using SEO tactics.
In fact, we use our own proprietary software called ConversionIQ to help companies gain the richest insights possible. Data collection won’t impact your bottom line unless you’re using the insights you collect to take action. The Search Console Insights panel offers a quick snapshot of your search performance. For example, you can see how search compares to other acquisition channels, and you can view your top queries at a glance.
Although the first page of Google earns 90% of the clicks for a query, the majority of traffic comes from the top three positions in Google. Many would call them vanity metrics because they don’t drive traffic or revenue. Impressions are purely a record of how many times a particular page from your site appeared in the SERP. Tools like Clearscope, on the other hand, analyze content for relevance based on related search terms and entities found in competitor content. The more relevant terms you include from their list, the higher your grade.
Since we’re targeting informational intent keywords, maybe it’s our end goal to win the Answer Box, or land in the video carousel. Using AI algorithms, each keyword and topic is accurately categorized into its appropriate user intent designation at scale. “The challenge with SEO tracking is the delay in data crawling and time taken to see the results after implementing SEO strategies,” says Abhi Bavishi, Growth Marketer and Automation Expert.
